Advanced Physiotherapist

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, enthusiastic Band 7 Physiotherapist to join our expanding, forward-thinking and highly regarded Therapy Team at Kettering General Hospital.

The Emergency Medicine Team is a rapidly developing, innovative team providing high-quality assessment and treatment, beginning in A&E, MAU and Urgent Care areas, following patients through to the Medical wards. We work collaboratively with Occupational Therapy, the Acute Frailty Team and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

We are looking for an innovative and highly specialist Physiotherapist, who has outstanding leadership skills and can engage and inspire a team of therapists to deliver exceptional evidence, based clinical care. Supported by the Therapies Manager and Physiotherapy Professional Lead, you will take a lead role in planning, co-ordinating and evaluating the Emergency Medicine Team.

You will provide support and supervision to other team members and be involved in the training and competencies of more junior team members, students and support staff.

We are looking for an enthusiastic experienced Physiotherapist with:

  • Experience of working with acute medical patients in A&E and on medical wards
  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment, management and rehabilitation of medical patients with complex presentations
  • A strong commitment to high quality evidence-based care

This is a part-time post working 30 hours per week. Respiratory skills are essential for this post as you are expected to join our on-call rota with focused training, competencies and unit-based learning to support you if required.
