We are currently undergoing a major transformation to become a world leader in Value-Based Healthcare and as part of that programme we have established 15 Integrated Practice Units (IPU’s) which will focus on improving patient outcomes.

The Autistic Spectrum Disorder IPU has an opportunity for you to develop and strengthen experience working with patients in secure care settings and the chance to develop research and clinical ideas. This IPU is forward-thinking, open to new ideas and has a holistic to patient centred approach care and treatment.

You will take responsible clinician duties within a large multi-disciplinary team to oversee, plan and deliver treatment and management of patients with ASD diagnosis who are very likely to have additional mental disorders as well as forensic risks. You will be able to promote innovation and improvement of services and there will also be options for research and teaching within this role.

You will have MRCPsych or equivalent and a CCT in Learning Disability, Forensic Psychiatry or General Adult Psychiatry.

This post is offered as a 0.8 WTE (30 hours a week) but we will also accept applications for those applicants seeking full time opportunities.

With scope to develop your specialist interests, you will be encouraged to undertake non-clinical activities of interest e.g. research, teaching, governance and management, influencing the direction of our services and attaining the best outcomes for our patients.
