Job Opportunity: Operations Manager, Older Adult Mental Health

A vacancy has arisen within the Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) for Older People (North) for an Operations Manager. This team is recognised by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) with a rating of Outstanding as a team (2018) and as a service we are looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual with leadership experience and a passion for working within Older Adult Services.  The successful candidate will provide effective day to day management and leadership of the service in accordance with the Operational and Trust Policies.

The teams operate Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.00 (excluding weekends and bank holidays).  The post holder will be required to work between the hours of 09.00-17.00 Monday to Friday with some level of flexibility as required to meet the needs of the service and the team.  The teams consist of Memory Assessment Services, Memory Monitoring Clinics, Out-patient’s and CMHT’s.  The locations of the teams are Rushden and Corby (Rushden Resource Centre and Stuart Road Clinic).

These well established, multi-disciplinary teams offer a high quality assessment and treatment services, to individuals experiencing mental health issues in later life. Working in partnership with patients, families and existing statutory and voluntary service providers.  The team offers a range of interventions and approaches aimed at emphasising mental health well-being and developing personal strengths to help achieve hope and recovery.

The role also involves in coordinating the services and resources, liaising with clinical staff and other professionals, dealing with complaints and anticipating and resolving service delivery issues.  Also required to plan and implement change.  This includes ensuring that the performance standards for the team are met and information on performance is provided. The successful candidate will put into action the values of the Trust.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in integrated teams and possess highly developed specialist knowledge of health and social practice in Mental Health Services. They will work closely with the Service Manager, Consultant Psychiatrist and Practitioners within the team.
