Northampton General Hospital will be running their first ever Volunteer Recruitment Day on Wednesday 12th May – the benefit of having recruitment day is so that they can fast track you through the system and get you out volunteering sooner rather than later.
To accommodate everyone there are 2 sessions during the day – 1pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm. Northampton General Hospital will also have some of their volunteers at the event who will be able to answer any questions you have and give you an insight into the world of Volunteering at NGH.
Opportunities currently exist in the following volunteering roles:
Response Volunteer Role:
Transport patients in a wheelchair between wards
Assist with patient feeding
Collect medication from the onsite pharmacy and deliver to a ward
Provide basic administrative support
Transporting samples to labs
Sit and talk with patients
Assist with changing beds
Assisting on patient video calls
Accepting and delivering patient property
Full training will be provided for all of the above roles. So if you are looking to expand your skill base, gain valuable experience for your CV, or enjoy helping out in a varied role, then this is the opportunity for you.
