New recruitment campaign urges nurses and doctors to relocate to Northamptonshire
August 04, 2017
More nurses and midwives in the UK are leaving the profession than joining for the first time on record according to recent figures from the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), with the number of nurses departing having risen by 51% in just four years.
To solve the nursing shortage across Northamptonshire a new joined up recruitment campaign entitled the Best of Both Worlds has been launched by four leading healthcare providers in partnership with the University of Northampton.
The campaign brings together the University of Northampton, Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, Northampton General Hospital, Kettering General Hospital (KGH) and St Andrew’s Healthcare, a leading charity providing specialist mental health care, in a joint bid to solve their recruitment needs.
